KAIROS - PARADISO - AMSTERDAM

On the legendary facade of the building of Paradiso Amsterdam, the expo will be available for two weeks! This is a collection of my favorite works, spanning over more than a decade of performance art photography.

This is an exclusive partnership with Paradiso Amsterdam  and made possible by Kosmos Amsterdam and big shout to Summer Dance Forever.

Scene photography

Also known as 'photo-call' is a special moment set-up for the photographer to capture the theater piece while it's performed only for the photographer, without an audience. In this set-up the photographer is free to walk around and capture the piece from different angles. For all of my scene-photography I request a full run and I don't need to see the piece in advance, so the moments will come more naturally towards me.

Studio work

A theater piece needs a poster to communicate the language of the story. These images are often produced under controlled situations in the studio or on location. Before an image is created a long proces of development and research takes place. The images are often produced before the start of creative proces of the piece itself, thereby its important to have striking image that covers  change in creative  ideas by the makers.
