"If I look at the mass I will never act.” ― Mother Teresa
A part of what connects us as human beings is our power to react upon (our) emotions. To raise our fist to fight for freedom, to cry along when we loose our neighbors in a meaningless act of violence. How come we so often seem to neglect our collective sense of empathy in our acts as individuals?
Dance Theater by Sine Forma Dance Company performed at Over t IJ Festival.
For this piece i was a part of the cast. After walking around as a ordinary photgrapher i become a important role in the piece. I didn't make photo's of the dancers alone, it made a portrait of the audience that will always watch and never act. At the end of the performance all photo's were displayed and the audience could reflect on their act of not acting.
